  So, am I a phoney?

  i have taken a break from the baby wait to come to the board and see what is happening.

  recently i had a run in with some people from another board, that also attend this board.

  in a search of my name on this site, i see that people (two weeks later) are still mentioning this and me.

  All I was saying was how you twisted your words the same way someone else does. I don't care if you are them or not...It's the thoughts that count!..And apparently you have them!...Hummm...

  ps...H.S. said"Usually when people pretend to be somone else , they dumb down their style..."...You mentioned 'Kennop" Who is "Kennop"..?Was that supposed to be Kenpo?..why not "Dragon"..That's who you were accused of being...Whoops...Maybe somebody accused you of being Kenpo and I missed it?

  Spirituality

  many xjws and others i have encountered in my journey express disdain for religion but they instead refer to having found a spirituality.

  do you mean that instead of seeking fulfillment from life that you have made an inward journey to self discovery?

  or do you mean that you have found god by journeying outward?.

  Sounds like you are confusing..good feelings ..happy thoughts and nice feelings..with "Spirituality!..

  Sounds misdirected to me...not MY idea of spirituality..

  I'll have to look that up in the dictionary..Hummmm......

  1) Don't make asses of ourselves so easily next time !.

  2) He has been posting forever! (He's been hearing "forever" that he sounds like xyz)

  3) We have lame logic!

  4) We left JW's because we became thinkers....but we are still stupid..?

  5) And watch out for that "Jawbone"...Why? Is it going to fly through the air at us?

  Japan Lost 589 Congregations

  things must be getting tough for the 'number puffing' theocrats in japan.. .

  3802 congregations (1999 yearbook).

  3213 congregations (latest report).

  OK...I had to get hubby's yearbooks for this one. I have the 2000 yearbook and it shows 3732 congregations in Japan..

  Then the 2002 yearbook shows 3305 congregations in Japan. So I have the current number..which is still a decrease. of 427!

  So I looked at the publishers..which is a crock but...in 2000 book they had 222,857.

  In 2002 they had 220,113.

  Those are peak publishers...and the numbers are for the year before the book..2000 is really for 1999 and 2002 is really for 2001.

  SO THERE IS A DECREASE OF PUBLISHERS OF 2744......

  Now the reason this was of interest to me is because Hubby just announced today that in Africa they are coming into the "Truth" so fast that they can't study with everyone!.He was bragging about their incease . So..I remembered reading this a while back and decided to look into it!..Well I showed him..and then the tune changed!..He said "The bible said many will fall away near the end!"..I told him they can't lose!..they have an answer ready for everything

  I told myself that since he is sick..I wouldn't argue with him about religion any more. But his cousin called and we were talking about him after he hung up. He said he told his cousin one time that only 144,000 were going to heaven.Then he said his cousin said "He" was going to go to heaven. Will hubby thought that was rediculous..he thought his cousin was nuts. And of course I said EVERYONE has their on beliefs..mostly they are taught by the parents..and some later by someone that influenced them!.

  So thanks for pointing that out to us..makes good reading!..

  IT ALSO SHOWS THAT THE THEORY OF BIGGER HALLS ISN'T THE REASON FOR DECLINE IN THE KINGDOM HALLS!...THE FACT IS THAT THEJW's ARE DECLINING IN JAPAN !

  it's a balancing act.

  it is impossible to please everyone all the time and i don't go out of my way to try to please anyone ... i just do what i think is right.. some good examples are controversial topics: if i lock or delete something that is controversial then i am accused of "stiffling free speech".

  Well my oldest daughter was born on December 20th in 1958..believe me..12 hours of labor..THAT's when the "Great Tribulation" started!

  And did I thank you for all the concern you showed for me when I announced my hubby had Cancer?..You know..when you decided to tell the posters that I was lying to get attention?..That was so thoughtful of you!..Did I thank you by the way?I cried a long time over that..I wish I was lying! Did you feel all big and important when your friends followed suit?

  How did you feel about 'fake' witnesses?

  i'm sure you know the ones i mean ... they decided to have a family 'present day' on dec 26th each year so that the kids could announce what presents they got while the rest of us 'zealots' were getting the piss taken out of us.. at the time, i could not understand how or why they did it or got away with it - it seemed obvious to me that thwy were celebrating christmas and we were not supposed to.

  but hell, what did i know ... i was only a kid ... not an elder .

  now, i kind-a-think "yeah, do what's right for your kids" but also "you're not fooling anyone!

  What really got me was the witnesses that gave out magazines on Holloween. Isn't that celebrating the holiday? What matters "what" you are giving..you are still giving!

  And on Wedding anniversaries?..I read that they should not use an anniversary as a excuse for a big get together!...A few years ago my JW inlaws were thrown a party by the witnesses in their area and their JW daughter in NY. Well I knew several of the witnesses from when we visited the JW in-laws.We even ate together. I thought this was odd but didn't question it. (I disassociated myself long ago)

  Well hubby and I received an invitation addressed to both of us!

  So I went out and bought a present and a new outfit!.It was their 50th anniversary. I was looking forward to seeing some of the relatives that were not witnesses at the party!.(They were also invited).

  Well right before the party..I received a phone call long distance from his sister. She was on her way down here from NY but she wanted to talk to her JW brother (who was inactive) So I put him on the phone. She told him I was uninvited! They were afraid I might stumble someone. Well I felt they could have thought that one up before inviting me!. I was upset. So no one from my family went!..Which made me feel good.

  Then when I found out they shouldn't have even been celebrating by having a big party..I was PO'd. What hypocrites!...And to this day..they can't see what they did wrong.

  In our congregation....

  Not to mention the party to welcome the new year in but they weren't celebrating "New Years"...Duh!

  Or the "Hawaiian" party on one of the "Elders" daughters birthday!

  Or the JW in laws sudden shoping spree to get presents for the grandkids the week before Christmas..They wouldn't wrap them and they would say .:Now this isn't for Christmas!"

  Yeah right!...

  she just baked a ham, made a chocolate cake and a sweet potato casserole.

  she will bake the turkey tomorrow with the other goodies.

  HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

  This is the first year I won't have the family for Thanksgiving!..Hubby doesn't like Turkey now..he doesn't want to smell it cooking either!..(Cancer).So my youngest daughter is coming over (She is divorced) and we are going to Denny's!..How about that!.

  He did request I make my famous "Peanut Butter Pie" though..

  He stays alone when I go shopping for about an hour. So I figured my daughter and I could go eat.He will probably take a nap. Dennys is 2 minutes away from me.

  He did request some of Denny's Hot Wings....go figure!.

  My other Daughter is out of town for the weekend.

  My son and his new wife will be bringing me a "Plate" Friday night!...

  I hope she likes "Peanut Butter Pie!"
